It can be isolated from root of Glycyrrhiza glabra[1] (liquorice) or Glycyrrhiza inflata.[2] It shows antimalarial,anticancer,antibacterial and antiviral (specifically against influenza neuraminidase)properties in vitro ,.mainly used in Pharmaceutical, food supplement and cosmetics field.
